These took on small jobs such as delivering bread and milk every morning, driving taxis to driving trams, conductors and even tractors to help with growing and harvesting crop
Women even worked in new defence factories and motor vehicle assembly lines and were nicked named Soldiers In Overalls. The Women Land Army was created in 1843 and were joined by 2000 women to help boost production of food on farms Women who stayed at home applied their sewing techniques out in the field of making camouflage nets to assist with war production. Other became nurses at front line bases and rehab hospitals overseas – there were in fact 8000 of women who did this in WWII.

After severe damage done to the north of Australia, Australia was not hesitant to join the United Nations in 1945 (replaced League of Nations that failed). Australia supported the UN because it promised world peace, freedom and prosperity.
